Pi Alpha Alpha Honor Society

Pi Alpha Alpha is the Global Honor Society for Public Affairs and Administration. There are more than 160 chapters located around the world at NASPAA member schools. Pi Alpha Alpha membership identifies those with the highest performance levels in educational programs preparing them for public service careers.

The purpose of Pi Alpha Alpha is to encourage and recognize outstanding scholarship and accomplishment in public affairs and administration. Its objectives, such as fostering integrity, professionalism, and effective performance, promote the advancement of quality in the education and practice of the art and science of public affairs and administration.

 

 

 

 

 

 


Eligibility

Trachtenberg School students with a 3.70 GPA and higher after completing 21 credits are invited by the Trachtenberg School Administration to join this distinguished body of graduates.

Leonard

Leonard Ewang Ngumbah Wolloh

Leonard is a 3rd year PhD student at the Trachtenberg School specializing in Public Finance and Budgeting. He is also a Program Analyst at the World Bank, working on decentralization and local governance across West and Central Africa. Leonard was inducted into GWU's prestigious Pi Alpha Alpha society in April 2023 and has been serving as an Executive Board Member since September 2023. In this role, he provides strategic guidance to enhance the evolution roadmap of the chapter.

Trey Johnston

Trey Johnston is a PhD candidate in the Gender and Social Policy track of the Public Policy & Public Administration program. Trey serves as the Deputy Director of the Cisneros Hispanic Leadership Institute, where he oversees the design and implementation of Latino-centered programming and research. He is also the Director of the Im/migrant Well-Being Scholar Collaborative, where he supports researchers in translating their work for public and policy impact. Trey holds an M.A. in Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the George Washington University and is the recipient of several fellowships, including a Fulbright.
