Why did you choose the Trachtenberg School?
I chose the Trachtenberg School because of its perch in the nation’s capital and its commitment to “doing good and doing it well."
Looking back, what are the most valuable skills, tools, or aha-moments you gained at Trachtenberg that you still rely on today?
One of the most valuable skills I gained was how to be a well-rounded researcher ready to tackle real world problems through my capstone with the nonprofit Homeboy Industries.
In what ways did the Trachtenberg community—whether professors, peers, or alumni—support or influence your career?
The Trachtenberg community is welcoming and supportive from staff members like Gregory Nelson, Kate Rosa, and Denise Fowler who are always ready to lend a helping hand to students to professors like Dr. Brainard and Dr. Newcomer who prepare the next generation of scholars – the Trachtenberg School is a fantastic community to be a part of to pursue graduate education.
What advice would you share with someone looking to pursue a career similar to yours?
Keep an open mind and embrace all different kinds of opportunities to learn and grow.
