- How do I access career advising for life?
You can find more details here about career advising, drop-in hours and accessing their Handshake account.
- How can I maintain access to my GW Email and Handshake after I graduate?
You need to keep your GWU email active to schedule via Handshake for advising. To keep a GW alumni email account active, alumni must log in directly to their @gwmail.gwu.edu account via a web portal at least once every 12 months. Note that email forwarding or third-party app access (e.g., Outlook, mobile apps) does not count as an active login. https://it.gwu.edu/alumni-support.
- How can I regain access to my GW email?
Alumni must have a UserID and an @gwu.edu email account in order to gain access to Handshake. If you need assistance with obtaining a UserID and/or an @gwu.edu email address, please click here. Once you obtain a UserID and email address, you can request a Handshake account here.
- How do I log into Handshake if I have an account?
Log into Handshake with your @gwu.edu email address and the associated password. Please DO NOT USE your @gwmail.gwu.edu email address. If you have any questions, please contact the Handshake Help Desk at handshakehelp
