Garrett Kephart

A trusted climate and sustainability strategist and seasoned consulting executive, Garrett Kephart is President of Earth Finance, Inc. He has experience designing and implementing new business models for climate action, energy transition, and sustainability solutions for corporations, nonprofits, foundations, governments, and entrepreneurs. Garrett began his 20+ year consulting career in Washington, DC with the Cadmus Group Air and Water Quality Practices and subsequently with Deloitte Consulting’s Energy, Resources and Sustainability practices. He founded Point B’s Sustainability program and launched its Corporate Strategy, Climate, Sustainability, and Social Impact practices. Garrett works with clients from more than a dozen industries bridge strategy and execution through a combination of creativity, data-driven insights, human-centered design and agile methods.

Garrett received a BA, cum laude, from Colby College, an MPP in Environmental Policy from the Trachtenberg School, and a Certificate in Sustainable Energy Solutions from Presidio Graduate Institute. He is an active investor and serial entrepreneur and is actively involved with a variety of nonprofits and charitable organizations, including the Seattle Parks Foundation where he is Board Chair. An experienced outdoorsman, Garrett led multi-day wilderness canoe trips throughout Eastern Canada and to Hudson’s Bay for over 20 years. He spends his free time in the great outdoors with his two kids, Ainsley and Sawyer, and relaxing with his wife Amy and basset hound Kona in the San Juan islands north of Seattle.
