Travel and Planning Information

GW Conference on Behavioral Approaches at the Trachtenberg School on May 23 and 24, 2018

The conference reception will be held at GW on May 23 from 5 to 7 pm, and the conference itself, also at GW, will begin at 8 am and end at 4:45 pm on May 24.

Getting Around

GW’s Foggy Bottom Campus is well served by public transit. Because finding parking within the downtown area can be challenging and expensive, we encourage attendees to ride the Metro whenever visiting GW and exploring DC. Alternatively, taxis and ride share services such as Lyft, Uber, and Via are easily accessible to transport you to, from, and around GW. However, if you decide to drive, the following are the available garages on-campus for visitors.

GW Visitor Parking

  • Marvin Center (entrance H street, NW between 21st and 22nd Streets, open Monday-Friday 7am-12am, closed on weekends and holidays)
  • Elliott School of International Affairs (entrance at the corner of 19th and E Streets, NW, open Monday-Friday 7am-11pm, closed on weekends and holidays)
  • G Street Garage (access from both 20th Street and 21st Street, NW between F and G streets, open 24/7)
  • The University Parking Garage (UPG), located under the Science and Engineering Hall (entrance located on H Street, NW between 22nd and 23rd streets, open 24/7)

For further questions regarding on-campus parking, please contact the Parking Office at (202) 994-PARK (7275).
