Professor Peter Fontaine brings 30 years of budget experience at the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), beginning with more than 10 years in a principal analyst role, followed by 20 years as a manager and key coordinator of CBO’s work, including 7½ years as the head of CBO’s Budget Analysis Division—directing a staff of 75 to 80 people, to his teaching.

Prior to working at CBO:  7 years of management consulting experience, for clients including federal government agencies and major private research organizations.

Experience includes the analysis of an extremely broad range of federal budgetary issues, encompassing health care, income security, national defense, energy and other natural resources, transportation, and education, among other areas.
