PhD Spotlight: Michelle Proser

"For more than 12 years, I've conducted research and analysis on health centers’ role in the health care system and empowered communities in their efforts to improve population health. I monitor the impact of policy and health system changes on health centers, their patients and their communities and lead a multi-partner effort to develop, pilot test and disseminate a national standardized patient risk assessment protocol. I’m proud of the research-driven publications I have authored and co-authored that have been consumed by policymakers, including members of Congress.  It is incredibly rewarding to hear your research referenced in testimonies before Congressional Committees and written in the Congressional record."

-- Michelle Proser, MPP '03 and PhD '14, Director of Research, National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC)
